My moment. What does this statement mean to you? To me it is a reminder that every moment of every day can be my moment. My moment to shine, to be a light in the darkness around me. If I can stop long enough to take in these moments then I can appreciate them.
So many times we get wrapped up in past mistakes or worrying about the future and we lose sight of these moments. They get sucked up by worry, fear, anxiety and doubt, as a result of these things we do not get these moments to shine, to be the person we are meant to be. We miss out.
We need to stop focusing on the past which has already happened and cannot be changed. Don't get me wrong it is important to reflect on the past in order not to repeat the mistakes, however it is also important to live in the moment.
We also need to stop focusing on the future which will happen no matter how much we worry about it. Once again, don't get me wrong it is important to know your goals and live your life in a way to achieve them, however do not be so focused on where you are going that you miss the journey.
My friend challenged me on this and I have started to just enjoy each moment and make it important and it has really changed my stress level and my level of anxiety. It has helped me feel relaxed and at peace in the midst of the storm raging around me. Just as my friend challenged me, I am now issuing this challenge to you. This week live in the moment. Do not let opportunities pass you by and make the most of your week! Feel free to email me and let me know how it goes. I would love to hear about your victories and your struggles.
