Have you ever had a defining moment? I have. When I was young I was convinced God had big plans for me and from the time I was 10 years old I knew I was called to Kelowna. I would have to say that I forgot about a lot of this over the years and just lived my life as it came at me instead of pursuing the dreams God had placed within me. God has given me big dreams and six years ago, God unfolded a dream even bigger than anything I had ever envisioned. It was all to be birthed from this online ministry.

Over the last year so many people have told us of their stories, where these powerful ministries came from small beginnings and the running theme was "Do not despise small beginnings". This was great, however we felt as though we were stuck in a rut in some ways. The ministry has not brought in any money to keep it going and now our support has been removed. We were wondering if we misunderstood God's heart for this ministry. The more we prayed the more it was confirmed that we were ministering the way He wanted us to. God has used this ministry to reach people all over the world.

Yesterday, I had an interview and it was in the 90 minutes I was there that I had my defining moment. As I was talking to my interviewer, God was speaking to me and I believe that it was totally planned by God for me to be there at this moment. This was no coincidence. I was looking for work and I came across this ad after two hours of searching and there it was. I knew my search was over. I have never had such complete clarity when it has come to looking for work. I knew I was going to Calgary for a week so I did not send in my resume until I got back. Amazingly enough the job was still available and the interview was set. Since Wednesday this interview has been bathed in prayer not only by me, but by everyone I spoke to and sure enough it was my defining moment.

If God has placed a dream on your heart, ask Him where to start. Even if it is a small beginning and the dream seems impossible, just go for it. You have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. I read this quote this week and it hit me like a ton of bricks. 'Every work of God has three phases: it's hard, then it's impossible, and then it's done' (Hudson Taylor). God asks us to do the impossible because then He gets all the glory. If it were possible then anyone could do it and God does not receive the glory. Thank God for impossible dreams that come true! All it takes is a pinch of faith and the surrender to do it His way, no matter the cost.
