What a season this has been! God is definitely a God of miracles! The dictionary defines a miracle as an affect or event considered as a work of God. In my opinion, a miracle is something that only God can do. The Bible is filled with miracles from the parting of the Red Sea to raising Lazarus from the dead.
As a Christian I believe we are to live lives filled with God's miracles. When I look at my life, miracles start happening when I give God complete control. He designed each one of us with free will and because of this free will, He will not move in our lives without us inviting Him to.
We invite God to move in our lives is by asking Him through prayer. Jesus spent a lot of time in prayer. He lived a life that was completely surrendered to His Father. We need to surrender ourselves to God. Not just part of ourselves, not just some aspects of our lives, but everything. It is when we completely surrender that God is able to do great things in and through our lives.
One thing that you will find about miracles is it is about reaching out to someone else. Have you ever seen a miracle when the only benefactor is yourself? No. Look at Jesus ministry, do you ever see a time when Jesus did a miracle for His own benefit alone? No. He fed 5000 people. He healed others. He raised others from the dead. He calmed the waters not for Himself but for the disciples. He walked on water to build faith in the disciples. Every miracle is designed to help others.
God is the only one that can make the impossible possible!
