Who Is In Control?
April 19, 2020
While doing my devotions this morning, God spoke to me. He said, "I want what is best for you, especially in these times when things all over the world seem so uncertain. I AM STILL IN CONTROL! NOT MAN! Rest in this and do not allow fear to overtake you, I am with you always."
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT) states, "So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you."
I know that there are many that are afraid right now, but I want you to know that God loves you. God is in control and God will be with you no matter what happens. God has not deserted you. God has not abandoned you. God has not left you to face these difficult times alone. He stands at the door knocking waiting to be let in.
His love for you is bigger than every single circumstance we face. This does not mean we will not face difficult times. In John 16:33 Jesus says it well, "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (NLT) It means that when we face these difficult times we are not alone, God is with us!
When the world seems so uncertain isn't it comforting to know we do not have to face it alone, we have God the creator of all things who is with us!
The question I leave with you is this, who is in control? Are you still trying to do everything on your own ignoring the knock at the door? He patiently waits for you to allow Him in. Whether you like it or not even when you think you are in control, you really aren't. Do you have any control over what is happening in our world right now? NO. God is in control. The question is will you let the one who is really in control in, or leave him knocking at your door?
Personal note: I felt like I was supposed to share this word with everyone I could, yet I was nervous to do so. I was concerned about how people would respond and whether people would believe that God really spoke to me, however I have to be obedient to what God is asking me. If God is asking you to do something, be quick to obey it may be just what someone needs today.
