Eternity

   My Scripture for today is 1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever. A few things occurred to me after reading this. The first thing that went through my mind was why would anyone turn down the gift of eternity just to have a moment of pleasure? Eternal perfection versus one moment that only seems perfect.
