Insight: First of all, I want to let you know that you are truly never alone, however there are times when we push God away and don't realize that we need to invite him back. I was angry with God myself at one time. I buried it and year after year went past and I would pray and read the Bible but I still felt like God was distant from me. One day I was talking to someone and I expressed that I was angry with God. I traced it back to the source and asked for God to forgive me for pushing Him away and then invited Him back and I no longer have that feeling of distance. God is a gentleman who will not force Himself into your life. He will only be around when we really want Him there. God loves us even while we have pushed Him away, just like in the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32), the father did not stop loving his son.
Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." No matter what has happened or what you are facing He loves you and is waiting for you. It is time for you to invite him back in.
